Advanced Micro Devices, a producer of processors from Sunnyvale, California launched the latest quad-core processor. Interestingly, this four-core processor released in the range price of $100, of course, it should be in amount of purchase.

As listed on the official website, Athlon X4 II 620, the processor architecture based on 45 nanometer technology was sold for 99 U.S. dollars per thousand units of purchase. The processor has a speed of 2.6 GHz, 2MB of L2 cache, consumes 95 watts maximum power and the use of interconnection AM3 socket.

In Indonesia, the new AMD processor has been around since about 2 weeks. “Market price of AMD Athlon X4 II 620 in Indonesia is 1.2 million rupiah,” said Sylvia Widiastuti, General Manager of eMedia Devices, one of the main AMD distributors in Indonesia. “Although already available, the numbers are still not too much,” she said.

Sylvia said, the current line of AMD processors the most demanding of users is the Athlon X2 II 240. Processor has a speed of 2.8 GHz, 2MB of L2 cache and uses 65 watts maximum power. “This processor is affordable price processor, only around IDR 645.000. This processor includes about 60 percent of all sales of AMD processors we distribute,” she said.
